WHEREAS the art of painting is an integral part of
our culture, cherished by many persons; and
-
WHEREAS, thousands of persons express their talents
through the art of china painting; and
-
WHEREAS,thousands of people enjoy the talents of
china painters, and
-
WHEREAS,the World Organization of China Painters
is holding its second world convention and show in Tampa on July
12-14,1979; and
-
WHEREAS, approximately 3,000 of the organization's
10,000 members are expected to attend the show; and
-
WHEREAS, this nonprofit organization's purpose is
to cultivate interest and knowledge in painting porcelain, and this
show will include displays, demonstrations and seminars to inform
members and the general public on aspects of china painting;

NOW THEREFORE,I, Bob Graham, by virtue of the
authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Florida, do hereby
proclaim July 12-14, 1979 as
CHINA PAINTING DAYS
in Florida and urge all citizens to join with me in saluting
this beautiful art form and the talented people who perform it.
In witness thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the
Great Seal of the State of Florida to be affixed at Talahassee, the
Capital, this 29th day of June, in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred
and seventy-seven.
