State of Nebraska
April, 1984

WHEREAS the art of painting on porcelain has been
recognized as a fine art by all of the world's great civilizations
and has enriched museums in many countries for hundreds of years;
and
-
WHEREAS the United States by proclamation 4772 of
July 2, 1980, proclaimed the month of July as a National Porcelain
Art month: and
-
WHEREAS since that time, many states have also proclaimed
a Porcelain Art month; and
-
WHEREAS Nebraska has twenty-three organized groups
of devoted porcelain artists who meet monthly and have an annual state
show and convention in recognition of more than 600 porcelain artists
throughout the state;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ROBERT KERREY, Governor of the
State of Nebraska, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the month of April, 1984, as
PORCELAIN ART MONTHin Nebraska and ask all citizens to celebrate the occurance.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
and caused the Great Seal of the State of Nebraska
to be affixed this 12th day of March in the year of our Lord
one thousand nineteen hundred and eighty four.
